What is Victoria Adoptables and what do we do?

Victoria Adoptables first went online January 8th, 2005. This website was initially set up to feature dogs/cats and small animals from the CRD Pound on Pat Bay Hwy.,Victoria in the hopes of increasing adoptions. Gradually, other animal rescue organizations on Vancouver Island/Gulf Islands added their own website links featuring animals needing homes. Currently, 25 rescue organizations and CRD Pound post animals for adoption on this site.

Victoria Adoptables Dog Rescue was formed in 2007 and as volunteers we rescue stray/abandoned dogs from pounds and small communities up island. Vancouver Island dogs are our priority but we don't believe animal rescue stops at the border. We assist when and where we can as funds and foster homes permit.

Our mandate is to provide stray/abandoned dogs with  vet care, spay/neuter, healthy food and a caring foster home until they are adopted.

Victoria Adoptables Dog Rescue is non-profit and we foster dogs in our own home environments. For more info Email me.
