Willow and Echo

These lovely girls are five year old Chinchilla Persians who are
currently sporting a less than flattering hair cut. These girls are
litter mates and both spayed & Vaccinated. Willow is the larger of the
two and is quite a cuddle bug. She loves to be smothered in affection!

Echo is an affectionate little girl as well but it takes her some time
to trust you. Echo definitely needs a quiet loving home while Willow
will be more tolerant of a busier household. These girls can stay
together but are not extremely bonded so can be separated as well. Both
cats will require daily grooming to keep them looking their best.

Maggie
Maggi is a lovely tabby female aged about 8 months. She is a very sturdy young lady who can be quite shy but she does enjoy being stroked and petted. She really does not like to be picked up at this point but,her foster mom is gradually teaching her that losing control of the pull of gravity isn't so bad! Surprisingly, we were able to easily cut her nails the other day which indicates that with a little understanding, Maggi will be a very easy girl to have around. She  would make an excellent companion for another cat but would likely blossom if she was your only cat and getting all your attention but she would be fine either way. Maggi is quite used to dogs and could happily live with two or three friendly dogs. If you are interested in meeting this lovely girl,  please contact Beverly at 655-6451. Maggie is a Cats Cradle Rescue cat. For more info, please click on bar below.

Wanda
Wee Wanda is a pretty little tabby girl around 5 months of age. She had a very rough start to her life but is now happy and healthy and enjoying being a kitten in her foster home. Her foster mom adores her and says that she is happy, playful and just full of the joys of life. Wanda currently lives with several other cats and two large dogs and does well in this situation. Wanda can be a bit shy to start with and is not super cuddly.  She does however purrr madly when picked up but she soon wants to be off doing her own things.  She would do well as a companion to another cat but would likely blossom as an only cat Wanda is a Cats Cradle Rescue cat. Tony
Tony is about 12 years old and was found as a starving stray with a serious flea infestation and sores from flea bites. He has had a full blood panel and, surprisingly, is in good health considering all he has been through.
Tony could easily with one or two quiet dogs as long as they don't bug him. He will readily let them know who is boss. He  loves to "talk." and willl "ask" for food and attention. He just wants someone to talk back to him, not really be a snuggle monster. He does like to sleep in bed with someone and lay next to you when you are watching tv. He really likes to be around people and be social. He can certainly live with other cats. Tony is a Cats Cradle Rescue cat. For more info, please click on bar below.

Roxy

Beautiful and sweet Roxy was “taken to the vet” when her owner went into Hospice. Roxy is a very laid-back cat, extremely affectionate, and loves petting. She has gorgeous long hair and loves being brushed. (Foster mom says she doesn’t shed much). Roxy has had her front-feet DECLAWED – something we strongly disagree with, but it was done long ago.

Roxy will sit on your lap sometimes, but mostly sits beside you or lies near you on the floor. She comes when called and “Roxy” has been her name her whole life. She is content to be home alone all day and doesn’t get into trouble. Roxy is very quiet, only meowing when she needs attention.

Although Roxy is around 12, she is very healthy! She still LOVES to play – with yarn, toys, anything. She is very active and confident. On the first night at her foster home, she sat with them and watched TV.

She likes to sleeps on the end of the bed and then wakes everyone at 7 AM. However, on Sundays she lets her family sleep in! This is a Cat's Cradle cat.

Angel
Hi my name is Angel and I’m 10 years old. My mother was killed when I was 3 days old and I was eventually adopted from the Central Victoria Vet hospital by a boy (Jamie) from Sidney.  Jamie grew up and moved away from home so I moved with him.  When Jamie went back to college in Calgary I wasn’t able to go with him so I moved back to live with his parents until he was finished college.  When Jamie returned from college, he got a job in Vancouver but he couldn’t find accommodation that would allow me to move back in with him.

Unfortunately the parents got a puppy and, ”WE DON’T GET ALONG”.  Jamie has told his parents to do what they have to do with me so they’ve tried to find me a new home with no luck.  I spend a lot of time in the laundry room so the dog and I can’t fight each other (the fighting drives the parents crazy).  I’ve heard them say that if they can't find a new home for me soon, I will have to take a trip to the Vet.  I don’t think I want to go to see the Vet.  So please help me!!

I’ve always been an inside cat but since I like to go outside to explore, I should be able to be an inside or outside cat as long as there’s not too much traffic. Click on button below for contact info. This is a Cat's Cradle cat.

Maya

Hello, my name is Maya. I'm not sure why my old family left me on their friends doorstep in a burlap sack. But now I'm in a good foster home, and awaiting my forever home. My foster mom says I remind her of some Elvis guy every time I meow, cuz apparently my lip curls. Who's this Elvis guy she keeps talking about? Despite being left behind, I love anyone who comes into my eyesight, and I often tell you how my day has been. I enjoy having someone around to meow too, and whom can run the brush threw my fur. I will forever love you if you do. I'll even keep you company when you watch T.V. I'd love to be someone's companion. I don't make a mess, I'm litter trained and everything!!! My foster mom and I would LOVE to meet you face to face, because I'm not very photogenic...but I'm told daily how much of a pretty kitty I am, so my self esteem is quite good :)

I am spayed, vaccinated and 5 years old.

Smudge

I am a sweet little mouse of a girl, who loves other cats, and I don't mind dogs. I am a very comical girl who is always trying to find new ways to entertain you! I am approx. 6 months old, I am spayed, and up to date on all my shots. I would love to find a home with another cat that I can look up to,  I lost my mom at a very early age (3 weeks old) and therefore I rely on the other cats in the foster home to teach me the ways of being a cat, and would love my new home to have another cat for me to learn from.

Nikki

Nikki is an adorable 10 year old grey tabby. She is a very social girl who enjoys lounging on the couch, cuddling with you and playing with her catnip mouse. She gets along great with other cats but prefers to keep her distance from dogs. With the proper introduction Nikki could probably tolerate living with a dog as long as it is not too rambunctious. Nikki is a quiet girl who would fair best in a home without small children that may play too rough with her. She is a special girl because she has an overactive thyroid gland (hyperthyroidism). She takes daily medication that is minimal in cost to keep her thyroid hormone at the right level.

This condition is not contagious and Nikki is really great about taking her pills. Please consider giving this sweet girl a forever home.

Marta

here: I am a dilute tortie without that usual tortie naughty attitude. Not only is my fur multi-coloured but when you pet me, your fingers will behold the softest fur ever. With a sweet gentle nature, I will quietly join you on your empty lap without fuss and fanfare, and wait patiently for you to give me some wonderful loving. I gladly share foster mom's home with other feline siblings and a border collie. This is a Cats Cradle cat.

Risa

"Risa is about two years old and a lovely tabby female. She is a little shy but once she has bonded to you, you will be her friend and protector for life. Risa has lived with another cat and is currently living with a dog. Risa's foster mom has done a lot of work with this girl as she was bought into care as a young mum with six kittens and she was very protective towards the kittens and could not be touched. Now she thrives on the attention of her foster mom and enjoys being touched and sleeping with you. Risa is slowly being trained to be on a harness and, while she doesn't go for walks on a harness at this point, it is possible she will be doing just that at some point. She travels well in the car, enjoys being with people she knows and would do best in a quieter home as either the only feline or just one other cat. She could easily live with a dog too. Risa may not "show" well to a prospective adopter but, given the chance and some time, she will become your best friend. This is a Cats Cradle cat. TABITHA

Tabitha is a darling and lovable little tabby girl who loves to follow her foster mom and dad around the house. Around other cats she is quite shy, some might even say timid. She’s happiest in a quiet environment and likes to relax in a sunny window. She is a very petite cat who loves attention and her favorite thing is to sit in a lap. She will show affection by butting her head against yours!

Tabitha has one minor life challenge – she is diabetic. At the moment she is controlling this with diet and pills. Cat’s Cradle is offering to cover the cost of her pills for her lifetime.

Tabitha is a sweet girl who deserves the serenity of a cozy home and will cuddle up with you on these cold winter nights. She is fine with a quiet dog. Please give some thought to fostering, sponsoring or adopting this lovely little tabby.
Tabitha is a Cats Cradle cat.

Rita Red

Update Jan 25, 2008
Rita Red is a very unique and special cat.She is both feisty and affectionate. Rita is a cute “redhead” with a distinct personality and will be a fine and loyal pet. Her foster parents are helping her feel safe, comfortable, and trusting. Rita loves to rub by people and be petted and also likes some lap time. She makes it known where she likes to be petted – yes to this or that spot and no to reaching under her, etc.

Rita is not fond of other cats and needs to be an “only cat” She has slowly built trust in her foster home and now is confident and content.  She is particularly fond of playing with a kitty fishing pole with a ball on the end and when it is waved above her she runs back and forth and then jumps in the air and does a sort of “flip”! This is a fun way for her to get exercise.

Rita’s foster dad says that she responds when he whistles.  For those “dog people” out there who can’t have a dog in their present situation, Rita is a nice cat to consider.  She is very smart, a quick learner, and likes to be active – then take a long nap.  If you are gone all day and home in the evening, Rita will happily wait for you to come home at dinnertime – her favorite time of the day! Rita Red is a Cats Cradle cat.
